Description
From a manufacturing perspective, the Gyro Observation Tower consists of three main structural components: the central steel mast, the lifting mechanism, and the passenger cabin. The central mast is fabricated from high-strength structural steel tubes, welded and tested to ensure load-bearing stability under varying weather conditions. The steel structure undergoes a rigorous sandblasting and anti-corrosion primer treatment before applying the final weather-resistant topcoat. The lifting system typically utilizes a heavy-duty continuous cable or rack-and-pinion drive, paired with multiple safety braking systems and upper/lower limit switches to prevent over-travel. The circular passenger cabin is constructed with a reinforced steel frame and wrapped in molded fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). The viewing windows use tempered safety glass to ensure passenger security. Inside, the cabin is equipped with basic climate control ventilation, slip-resistant flooring, and standard commercial seating, powered by a central slip-ring electrical system that allows for continuous, untethered 360-degree rotation during the ascent and descent.
